Privacy policy
Last updated August 24, 2026
BookAmore is booking software for tattoo and permanent-makeup artists: an app the artist runs their business from, and a booking website for each studio. This policy covers both, and it is written for the two kinds of people who use them — artists, who hold the account, and clients, who book with an artist through their site.
If you are an artist
We collect what you give us to run your business: your name and business name, email address and phone number, your services and prices, your working hours, the photos and text you publish on your booking site, and the documents you ask clients to sign. Signing in creates an account with your email address; signing in with Google or Apple gives us your name and the email address that provider shares.
If you are a client
When you book with a studio, the details you enter — your name, email address, phone number, answers on the request form, and any reference photos you upload — go to that artist. They are the business you are dealing with; BookAmore stores this information on their behalf so their app can show it to them. So are your appointments, the messages you exchange, records of the payments you make, and any waiver or policy you sign, kept with the exact text you agreed to.
Reference photos are kept only long enough to be useful: they are deleted automatically between 14 and 30 days after the appointment, on a schedule the artist chooses.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and never touch BookAmore's servers; money settles in the artist's own Stripe account, and BookAmore never holds it. We keep records of what was paid — amounts, dates, tips, fees and refunds — because that is the artist's bookkeeping.
Who else touches this data
Nobody buys it, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers on the booking sites or in the app. Data is shared only with the services that make the product work: Stripe for payments, Supabase for the database and file storage, Vercel for hosting the websites, Resend for delivering email, Google's Firebase for delivering notifications to the artist's phone — a notification carries the sender's name and a line of the message, so it can be read from a lock screen like any messaging app's — and, where an artist offers text messaging, an SMS carrier such as Twilio. Each processes data only to provide that service. Payment pages are hosted by Stripe, and Stripe's own privacy policy applies while you are on them.
How long things are kept
Business records — appointments, payments, messages, signed documents — are kept for as long as the artist's account exists, because they are the artist's records. Reference photos follow the 14–30 day rule above. When an artist closes their account, everything in it is deleted immediately; encrypted backups can hold a copy for up to 7 days before rolling off, and are used only to recover from failure.
Deleting your data
Artists can delete their account and everything in it from inside the app — Settings, then Close account — as described at bookamore.com/account-deletion. Clients should ask their artist first, since the records belong to that business; if that fails, email the support address on the app's store page and we will help. Either way, expect deletion within 30 days.
Security
Data moves over encrypted connections and is stored in access-controlled databases where each artist can reach only their own records. No system is perfect, but the design keeps the sensitive parts — card numbers, passwords — with specialists (Stripe, and your sign-in provider) rather than with us.
Children
BookAmore is a business tool for artists and their clients and is not directed to children under 13. Age requirements for the services being booked are set and enforced by the artist.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it and artists are told in the app. Questions and requests go to the support address listed on the app's store page.
